A private "digital family living room" — one app where a family keeps its memories, plans its gatherings, plays together, and maps who's who. Four connected surfaces turn scattered group chats and lost photo albums into one shared home base.
The digital family living room
Families are scattered across group chats, shared albums, and half-remembered plans. Reunion pulls all of it into one private space: a member signs in with a phone number and lands in the family’s Living Room — a home base that greets them by name, surfaces what’s coming up, and nudges the room to life with a simple get-started checklist (add a birthday, invite a member, build the family map).
From that home base hang four connected surfaces the family actually uses. Memories is the keeping place — photos, told stories, and artifacts like Grandma’s recipe card or Dad’s old baseball glove. Games turns showing up into something fun: family standings, a Family Builder Challenge, and the annual “Challenge” of scavenger hunts and photo prompts. Events is a shared calendar with an Event Center and special-day reminders so the family never forgets a birthday. And a Family Map ties living members and ancestors together into one graph.
The build
A Next.js + React front end delivered as an installable PWA (it prompts to add to the home screen and behaves like a native app), backed by a Cloudflare Workers API. Sign-in is passwordless — a phone number, a one-time SMS code, and you’re in — so a grandparent can join without wrestling a password. The whole experience is designed mobile-first, warm and unfussy, so every generation in the family can find their way around.
