TrustDots Extension
The browser-extension sibling to the TrustDots app — an in-page panel on retailer product pages names the product, brand, and parent company, then shows a 0–100 TrustDots Score across five factors you can weight to your own values.
Trust, right on the product page
TrustDots Extension is the browser-extension sibling to the TrustDots app and share-sheet. Land on a retailer product page — a Desitin diaper cream on Target, say — and it injects an in-page panel that names what you’re actually buying: the product, its brand, and the parent company behind it (Desitin → Kenvue). Front and center is the TrustDots Score — 0–100 and banded, so a 55 reads as “Questionable” at a glance.
Then it shows the work. The score breaks into five factors — Financial Stability, Regulatory Compliance, Sustainability, Corporate Governance, and Labor & Social Responsibility — each banded Untrustworthy / Questionable / Acceptable and backed by a count of contributing facts (32 for this product). Not opinion — evidence you can open up.
Yours to tune
Trust isn’t one-size-fits-all, so shoppers can personalize the score — adjust how much each factor weighs toward their own values, and the number recomputes to match. A collapsible floating badge keeps the score a glance away without covering the page, and it drags to wherever it stays out of the way. Settings handle the rest: auto-show scores when a product is detected, an opt-in for sharing browsing data to sharpen the parser, and a reset for the badge position. First-run coach-marks walk new users through all of it, and a light rating prompt gathers feedback. In one line: it brings TrustDots’ brand-accountability scoring right onto the product page while you shop.
